Good Order in Worship

(1 Corinthians 14v26)

The second part of this verse says “Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.”

Do you read this as: “Everything done in church has to be positive” ?
Or do you read it as “The Lord has instructed me to bring something positive to church” ?

I think the difference is subtle but important. Do we do things to build up the church when we get there, or do we take the opportunities outside of Sunday Morning to prepare and bring our everything?

I think the preceding part of the verse gives us a clue: “When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation”

So, what hymn, word of instruction, revelation, tongue or interpretation are you going to take to church this Sunday?
